You are not the only one. I have the same problem (for quite a while now). It affects the Power users. I don't know if it is related to the amount of contacts you have or the amount of streams...but there lies the problem.
Just a guess: Is there a 'magic' line at 7500 connections?
Something to do with Plaxo policy or Plaxo being unable to clear the 'bug' I notifief Plaxo of this problem, they just told me everything was working fine, which clearly isn't...

If I try to log in pulse.plaxo.com if fails but if I use a weird link to an event sent to me it works.
Well it works at work but not from home.
